TES' patented lamp monitoring technology has been operating at eighteen trial sites in the Croydon area since December 2006 cutting energy consumption at traffic signal sites by two thirds.
This technology has been used in conjunction with GE Lumination's proven LED Traffic Signal aspects providing reliable lamp monitoring to reduce maintenance routines to the cleaning of the aspects.
Of the seven hundred units installed, failure rates have been 0.006% per annum proving the reliability of GE Lumination/TES lamp monitorable LED traffic signals solution.
With the elimination of reactive vehicle based maintenance, the two-thirds reduction in energy consumption and the removal of lower lifetime Halogen bulb systems, TES' LED solution for Traffic Signals dramatically improves the environmental profile of the technology.
